Diamonds from Ashes

How it works …

Extracting carbon from ashes, purifying it, and growing a diamond using high pressure high temperature technology (HPHT).

The process starts with extracting carbon from the ashes, the carbon is then purified to ensure the quality of the carbon source for the diamond growth.

The carbon is then converted into graphite which helps the diamond growth, the graphite is then placed into the HPHT machine that simulates the conditions where natural diamonds are formed.

Extreme pressure and very high temperatures work to create a rough cut diamond this process takes 6-8 weeks. Whilst this process is being carried out you will be able to liaise with one of our craftsman to choose which item of jewellery you would like the diamond to be set in.

When it’s ready the rough cut diamond is then cut into a Brilliant cut clear diamond.

(Price is for creating diamond only )

100-250 grams of ashes will be needed; depending on size of diamond chosen.

For stone sizes 2.5mm-3.5mm

Your diamond can then be incorporated in any of our ring designs.
You will be able to use the diamond dust from the cutting of your stone to mix with resin (so using all of the ashes originally sent)

For stone sizes 4mm-7.5mm

These would usually be set in a single stone ring or pendant as the stones depth is to deep for general rings.
The diamond dust from cutting your stone can then be mixed with resin and inserted into one of our jewellery items.
