What is resin and how does it work?
For the items that have resin and ashes mixed with diamond dust.
The 12 different coloured resins we use at Cherish are Jewellery resin products which are UV resistant and very hard wearing.
The resin is mixed with ashes and diamond dust then inserted into the jewellery item. It is then left for 36 hours to harden properly.
Once set, the ashes are permanently sealed within the resin and will remain suspended and visible forever.
What is diamond dust and why do you offer it as free in your collection ?
Sourced from the precise cutting of brilliant diamonds, this almost powdery substance, when mixed with the ashes, adds delicate shimmer to the piece.
We believe most people like the idea of diamond dust being used so this gives you the opportunity to have it mixed with ashes in your item.
Our commitment is to provide you with the most meaningful and beautiful tribute without unnecessary extras. We offer diamond dust as a complimentary feature because we feel it's a valuable enhancement that shouldn't come with an additional cost.
If I have two or more different ashes that I want to use can I?
Yes this is fine we can use upto 3 different memorial ashes in most of our collection.
One popular item is the locket as we can use both inside spaces for two different ashes.
We can even add to the locket at a later date so make it now with ashes you have then at a later date you can send back and we will fill the other side (you will need to contact us when you want to do this for the process and price).
All the rings can be made with multiple ashes hidden or in resin.
Can I use my pet's ashes for any of the jewellery?
Simple answer is yes.
The process is exactly the same just use your pet's name when you order to go on the certificate.
Can I get the inside of the ring I want engraved?
Many of our handcrafted pieces offer the option of personalized engraving, allowing you to add a special message or date.
To find out if your desired ring can be engraved, please refer to the specific product details on its collection page.
For items within our jewellery range, such as lockets and pendants, engraving capabilities will also be clearly indicated on their individual product listings.
